Help!!! please! It all started long ago, when Asus's nexus 7 tablet decided not to get along with Android 4.4, and bootlooped itself. So, off to my friend to fix it! Well, the jerkface unlocked the tablet and put cyanogenmod on it, instead of just putting lollipop or jellybean on it. So, I try to use Nexus Root Toolkit to flash stock back on the tablet, as Cyanogenmod itself was having crazy troubles, and crashed every app I had, and didnt work properly. So, I attempted to flash Android 5.0.0 onto the tablet. I thought I had set up the drivers right, and the command prompt went through fine, but the tablet just sat there, with that evil white google sign staring me in the face. The tablet is unlocked. I contacted ASUS, and they refused to help me because it's unlocked. I can't enter bootloader, yes, I have tried power and volume up. I can force shut down the tablet with power and volume down, and turn it on. That's it. It doesn't boot, and it won't enter fastboot or bootloader. Anybody... Please...

On the nexus 7, the only way to do it is through apps, and I can't even boot up the tablet:( thanks for the insight though!

Are you able to boot into recovery?

You need to identify your specific device version, and you can find help in the XDA forums.

Nexus 7 2012 Original

Nexus 7 2013

How do i do that? it is a 2013 edition.

I'm confuzzled, if you used NRTK then why did you use command? The point of NRTK is it does everything for you.

Anyway I find it very hard to believe you've bricked your bootloader. AFAIK you can't mess with the bootloader other than lock/unlock.

What I fear is you've flashed the wrong ROM, Lollipop requires a bootloader upgrade which is included in the zip so if you've flashed the wrong ROM then you've flashed the wrong loader and in essence you've fucked your nexus beyond repair. I'm really not sure if google include any form of model check in the flash process but if you'd of used NRTK to flash it would of got you the right ROM and refused to flash the wrong ROM.

Sorry bud, if you've flashed the wrong bootloader it really is FUBAR.

Thought so, have you got into bootloader/recovery?

If so then just click flash stock ROM in NRTK and select 5.0.1, it'll get the ROM itself and flash it for you. Make sure you check the boot loop/soft lock option so it skips trying to put the device in bootloader mode.

Once its done you can relock the device so its back as it was when it left the factory.

Before you flash anything make sure NRTK is set for a 2013 nexus 7 (codename FLO), it might detect the wrong model since it has the wrong ROM flashed.

I suggest just getting the latest stock Android ROM. Its a Nexus device it should have Lollipop without needing custom ROM.

That's what I decided on:D Android Lollipop 5.0.1. It's downloading now

Ok. I flashed stock. It now boots up. but, as soon as it turns on fully, I get messages like "unfortunately, the process com.google.process.gapps has stopped." and there's a bunch of others stacked underneath. I have no clue.

Head over to XDA and make a post in the nexus 7 section. I fear you've flashed the wrong bootloader and that's causing your issues.

I wouldn't know where to begin fixing that.

Be honest, make sure you tell them you flashed the GROUPER lollipop ROM onto a FLO.

Factory Images

Prodecure to flash factory image

That will replace even the bootloader. Obviously your device is not the 2012 nakasi, so its razor or razorg, depending on whether yours has GSM for phone function.

And the package you dl will contain files of different names, so adjust accordingly.

Mine is a 2013 Nexus 7 and its "FLO"
