I need a Ethernet spliter.

If you've seen my last post you know i'm gonna be building a desktop but the only place with wired internet is in the office but i want my computer in my room and i'm only about 35ft away and i need something that can give me 1000 Mbps from that distance any ideas and the router only has 4 ports which are taken and i would switch one to the spliter

What you are looking for is called a switch. Prices range, so could you please give more information such as Budget, number of desired ports, preferred manufacturer, etc.

Linksys makes great switches! Here are two:

They are from the same lineup so its just whichever number of ports you prefer!

The type of switch you need is a unmanaged switch. These switches require no setup and are essentially Plug n' Play. These particular models use QoS traffic prioritization which sorts out your traffic and prioritizes things that are important. (I have no experience from this feature, so I cannot comment on the benefits)
