i was looking into buying a unlocked windows phone 8 and don't know much about the hardware impacts. i was looking at the nokia lumia 720. i like this phone because it has 2 cameras, removable storage, and has 512 mb ram. It is also (barely) in my pricerange (325usd) my questions: is there a signifigant digffrence between 512mb ram and 1gb ram and connectivity. this is my very first smartphone and i know (and prefer) windows phone 8. Thanks!

Windows Phone overall is just a consistent, smooth OS. I recently installed Windows Phone 7.8 (released March 2013) on my old Samsung Focus (released November 2010) and it is still as smooth, if not smoother than the day I bought it. That's on a device with a 1.0 GHz single-core CPU and 512 MB of RAM. Specs don't generally matter on any Windows Phone, with the exception being game requirements. Some WP8 games require 1 GB of RAM, but many support 512 MB. Some popular games are even being updated to support lower end devices.
