I have an EA6500 as my main router, so I was thinking since I usually connect to 5.0GHz I could get better speed that if not higher than 300mbps, better than what I would be getting now.

I still dont think it'l improve it. But i cant say for sure. You may aswell do it if you have some spare time, and your willing to take the small risk of damaging your laptop. Compatibility may also be a problem, so bare that in mind if it doesn't work.

Hey guys i have an extra msata wifi module I didn't find the need for on my Asus motherboard that I removed but wanted some opinions on. What do you guys think about replacing my laptop's original Intel N6235 with Asus's AW-CE123H module since it's an AC wifi module I was thinking it would be beneficial for the extra speed but I wasn't sure about it's reliability/stability compared to Intel's. Do you guys think I should replace it?

I dont think you would see much difference.

 

The Intel one is limited to 300mbps and the other one has a 867mbps on the 5.0GHz frequency which is what I tend to use the most, you don't think there will be any real benefit from the extra throughput?

Hmm I may give it a try and do some testing, I'm just hoping it gives a reliable connection, like intel's
