OcUK Reference 970 Performance

I'm thinking of getting the reference 970 from overlockers purely for it's looks. However, I want to know how it will perform without overlocking it?

It will perform like any other 970 at the same clock speeds. The base boost clock is not that high though (Not even 1300) So I recommend overclocking to at least 1400 core/7800 mem

I would not compare an OC'd card to a stock card. Assuming equal clock speeds though the 980 will be about 15-25% better overall.

The difference between a 970 and a 980.

The 980 at base clock is around 20% better performance. A stock card is fine though I'd rec OC'ing it provided your case has good airflow.

It's quite helpful actually... Reference cards are just Nvidia re-brands. A reference card from Nvidia will perform exactly the same (excluding overclocking) as every other true reference card.
