ASUS GTX 970 STRIX, will it coil whine?

I have been waiting for my ASUS GTX 970 STRIX for quite some time now.

But just now, I found some interesting, bit actually frightening stuff.

I'm worried about coil whine.

I read this poor man's topic: http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/281357-asus-970-coil-whine-should-i-rma-it/

and watched a few videos of the same card on YouTube.

Is this card any different from others?

Should I panic and cancel the order?

I use headphones and I am not bothered by the fan noise, so should I even care?

Please help.

Only way would be is to test yours and see. Where are you buying from and do they offer a time slot of returning it?

Wanna hang out with me and people like @Theslsamg, @ Ssoele, @BENTHEREN, @Lanoi, @Whiskers, @_ASSASSIN_, @Looney, @WunderWuffle, and @nsyedhasan. Well.... Check out: http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/48484-unofficial-linustechtips-teamschnitzel-server-teamspeak/

I'm buying it from a local retailer. Don't know how it is with return policy, but I already payed for it.

But what about my other questions?

Coil whine is random and can pretty much happen to any card.

I've got a GTX980 STRIX and no coil whine at all. Some do, some don't and even with a bit of coil whine, they usually calm down a bit after a couple of weeks.

Other people are just not smart enough to enable FPS limiter in games like LoL or so and then wonder why they get coil whine, but be assured every card starts to whine when going over a couple of 100 FPS.

Intel i7 7820X (delidded) @ 4.9GHz - MSI X299 M7 ACK + EKWB Fullcover Block - G.Skill Trident Z 32GB @ 3466MHz - nVidia Titan Xp + EKWB Fullcover Block @ 2.1GHz - Samsung 960Pro 2x - WDD Blue 2TB - Seasonic 750W Platinum - modded Corsair 600C - Hardtubed Custom Watercooling

Ok, thanks.

I just wanted to make sure that this card is not particularly different from others.
