SHAME ON YOU

-hmm 1440p on med to high, yeah comes close

That is an ultra wide monitor 2560x1080 aka 21:9, alot of game right now are have scaling issues with that resolution so i suggest getting a 1440p monitor ( 2560x1440). It will require a bit more power to run compare to a 2560x1080 but it will save you from the headache you'll get when your game don't support that resolution. In 1440p the 280 will perform well as long as you don't crank the setting up too much.I think keeping it at high setting with aa off should give you a very enjoyable experience.

R9 280 is powerful enough to max out every game at 1080p, so ultra wide 1080p monitor shouldn't be an issue. I'm planning to get R9 280 too, but GTX960 convinces me a lot :S
