My amd phenom ii x4 965 with a cooler master 212 plus/evo (forgot which one) idles at around 44 - 47c, and its not overclocked ( stock speed 3.4ghz ). These temperatures are with the side panel of my case off and having a fan blow air directly at the case within my room. At full load, it sits around Mid to high 50c.

My case is an Antec Nine Hundered V2.

My mobo is a asus m4a77td pro.

My room temperature is 70f or 21c.

The cooler master has been on my cpu for the past year now.

Is this ok for a cpu like this, or should it be lower?

Life's greatest gift is being remembered, or prehaps, the greatest curse for some. Only you can decide this outcome and never let anyone tell you otherwise.

50C for IDLE is very bad.

It should idle around 28 or 35.
