I am in the final stages of planning for a new build.  This is an X99 build and the goal is to pack as much computing power as I can get into a mid tower case.

I will be including 2x GALAX GTX 980 HOF in SLI and want to be able to showcase the GPUs.  I am also planning ASUS X99 Deluxe (white accents) and I managed to pick up a SeaSonic Snow Silent (1050W) PSU.

With the HOFs, X99-Delux and SeaSonic Snow Silent, I have a great start on a white/gray build.  I am looking for advice on a case that will help out with the color scheme.  I will make custom cables for the color scheme.

Core components:

Intel Core i7 5960X (I will overclock)

NZXT Kraken X61

ASUS X99-Deluxe

2x GALAS GTX 980 HOF (SLI)

64GB DDR4 2800MHz

Mushkin Scorpion 960GB or 1920GB PCIe boot drive (haven't decided capacity yet)

2x Western Digital Caviar Black 4TB (RAID1) for data/backups.

3x Samsung S27D590C monitors

This is primarily a work computer (numerical/Monte Carlo modeling + ray trace/optical design), but I also want to be able to play any game I want at high FPS.  Before you comment, yes I NEED THAN MUCH RAM.

Total budget is $7,500 - $8,000.  Thanks in advance.

Suggestions for a case that will let me show off the components.  This is my first build.  I originally thought about using (and bought) a Thermaltake Core V51.  It will give me great cooling, but will probably be a little noisy and I don't think it will look like an $7,500 build when I am done.

So, what's a case worthy of what I am putting inside?

Corsair 750D is definitely a sleak and powerful looking case.

Personal Build Project "Rained-On"

helped building up the CPU Overclocking Database and GPU Overclocking Database, check them out ;)

The Corsair 750 is a full tower.  This is a mid tower build.

The xoxide will show every last detail of the build including any less than perfect cable routing . . . lol

In win - hmmmmmmm  very, very tempting.  That just might be the case . . .  Know anyone who wants to buy a new in the box Thermaltake Core V51?  I also have to step down from the Kraken X61 (280mm radiator), but what a case!

I looked at the Fractal Design Define R5.  It looks great, but I'm not sure how it will look when I take off some of the top panels for cooling.

I have a friend who is a machinist and has easy access to a CNC system.  I think I might be able to mod the In Win to let me keep the Kraken X61.

Right now it is between these two cases.  Thanks to everyone for the input.  Any more suggestions?

As much as I fell in love with the In Win 904 plus, I think the (Fractal Design) Define R5 Window is going to win out.

The more I think about it, I would rather save the CNC time and money for a true custom case that will let me mount a lot of cooling hardware.  I'm just not sure that I can get decent enough cooling with the In Win to overclock my hardware anywhere near its limits.

Anyone disagree about cooling in the In Win????
