4790k temp fluctuation

I was recently told that the intel CPU has an actual temp probe, But I find it strange to have the temp fluctuate. Here is a picture. Can someone tell me what is going on here?

My 4790k does that as well it is safe I think, I would like to know more about it aswell.

What temps are you getting and which cooler are you using?

the CPU temp is an average of all 8 threads. Low level things just sitting at desktops will use 1-2 theards and not the rest so heating up that part of the CPU quickly and so increasing the avg temp sharply. But as soon as its finished its cooled very quickly and the avg temp drops.

Turbo and processors temp is crazy fast changing.
