i have a core 2 pentuim, should i upgrade to the core 2 extreme or the core i3?

are you ok with changing your motherboard rams too ? if so get the newest technology

You would be better off getting a brand new motherboard lets say Z77 or Z87 and getting a low end Core i3 and your performance would be way better. Don't upgrade an old CPU to a old CPU.

i dont really want to do the ram and motherboard i have 6gb ram and a asus rog 775 motherboard.

beat me to it lol

i found a core 2 extreme for $119.00, the same price as the core i3 i found , but the extreme is better and im already running a 775 setup with good specs other than the cou that is holding it back.
