TV Screen Capture Help

I'm looking for a way to screen capture my TV screen to record some hold VHS Tapes and I'm having trouble finding a solution to this. My first attempt to record VHS tapes was a VideoGrabber method with a bunch of cables involved which was just annoying; it works but also doesn't, the picture quality isn't as great as it is when played on the TV and comes in Black and White for some reason.

 

I've researched online and found some screen capture devices such as the Elgato which specifies Gaming Consoles and not for the TV alone? and also the price is just too much and I'm just looking to record video and audio from the TV.

 

The final product I've found is a TV Tuner which allows you to watch your TV on your computer; and I was thinking of recording the computer screen which is so easy than a TV  <_<
