Hey guys,

Need help as soon as possible, my wifi on my desktop keeps cutting out, I have tried both wifi cards and usb adapters, nothing seems to cut it. The router is perfectly fine but the desktop keeps cutting out sometimes an unberable amount of times like every 20 seconds, sometimes 2 hours apart. If any one has any suggestions in how I can fix this, please help, thank linus warriors :P (can't use cable to far away)

1) u might need a better Wifi on you desktop like a new PCI slot wifi with a large range ( since u said router too far away for using cable )
2) how did u know your wifi in router is fine ? u check using a laptop or something else ?
3) if you have a laptop use cable and stay near the router for a while if it cutoff too contact your internet company :D i can help you if i have those info. :D

It might be the range, I made sure I changed all the setting on the usb adapter to handle any cross over of signals. The router is only just down the hallway, but it is really weird, one day it shall have a perfect connection the next day it will madly cut out. I have used the router on other devices such as laptop, mobile etc, and they were perfectly fine no loss of signal, pretty sure it is a desktop problem, but I just can't pin point it

if it is possible you can set the router as a access point had problems with ps3 of my brother one's( the pc3 just couldn't get a stable ip really weird )but you can only do that if there's an otter router before that one (can also be integrated in the modem).

probebly would't work but you can try it.
