Hey guys, so i'm looking to get a condenser microphone so that i can do audio recordings of my voice and my bass guitar(Separately of course) and also some commentaries. I was looking at the Audio Technica AT2020USB Cardioid Condenser microhpone...

http://www.amazon.com/Audio-Technica-AT2020USB-Cardioid-Condenser-Microphone/dp/B001AS6OYC/ref=sr_1_11?ie=UTF8&qid=1419831931&sr=8-11&keywords=audio+technica

...But when i saw that it does everything through USB i got concerned. Should i be worried about electric/static noise if it uses a USB interface? And will the quality be all there compared to a mic connected to a separate sound mixer using a mic connection?

Thanks guys :)

Go for the AT2020, pretty sure tek syndicate uses the usb version and I find nothing wrong with his audio quality.

I plan to get it hopefully within the next 2 months to greatly improve my audio quality for my videos and such as right now I am using the mic built into my turtle beach z11 headset. (Horribly shitty headset. would not recommend to anyone ever, earcups are sort of a hard foam that doesn't feel very good, very cheap plastic construction, overall shitty)

Y i hear ya man! I play a lot off bass and am looking for a way to record it so this seems like a great solution for me. Pair it with a mic stand and some sound dampening foam and i'm good to go! :D

The usb won't have any issues with sound quality.

Look at the blue yeti though.

I wouldn't get just the USB Microphone, especially because you want to do stuff with your bass guitar. It's better if you go for a USB Audio Interface with a built in preamp. I bought this: http://www.amazon.com/Focusrite-Scarlett-Studio-Interface-Recording/dp/B00AW91CPG / http://us.focusrite.com/usb-audio-interfaces/scarlett-studio and I don't regret it one bit, awesome stuff.
