high cpu usage on new os

also its not avast doing it its this windows modules installer thing. Im not tooo concerned as this is just the family pc and not my gaming rig so im not too terribly concerned about speed. theres this widnows installer package running 24/7 on here eating up cpu even with avast and malwarebytes uniinstalled.

Perform clean OS installation. Simple.

I just installed this os onto a computer and im having quite high cpu ussage. How would i fix this?

Just get rid of AVG. It's a piece of shit. Windows 8 has Windows Defender (For 8.1 Pro there is). If it doesn't get Microsoft Security Essentials.

Avast is eating up your resource for sure. Also Malwarebytes.

Please remove it.

Use Windows Defender. It's very simple and easy to use. I've been using it for 5 years. It's still the best IMO.

Plus it won't eat much resources as others  :)

This happened AFTER i formatted this computer. this wasent happening before i formatted it. could i set it up wrong?

I'm not sure. You only know that.

That Windows Installer Module won't always run unless you install MSI package. Something may went wrong.

That's why I asked you to clean install the OS.

I also think Avast is the problem here. Check its settings and remove any real time/idle scanning. They are pointless if you are power user and do regular scans anyway.
