You will LOVE this 1440p curved monitor

Hello everyone! How's ya'll doing? Anyways, I am building a gaming pc, And my budget is 3000$, I might plan to play at a resolution of 3840x2160 or 2560x1440, So i made a build and i know that i can make a better pc at a lower price, But i want an overkill pc that would play 1440p at over 60 fps and 4k at 50 frames at least.. So here's the build and if you guys recommend that i should change anything or have another good build let me know!

So you want the same exact system as I am planning on buying, perfect.

Please check the link so we can help.

I see, so it is another one of these posts. Guess we need to meet the quota.

Well I will play along.

no 9590, you want something that isn't a heater.

So an i5/7 4690k/4790k

I know the gigabyte z87x oc force supports up to 4 way sli, and the evga z97 classy does.

For anything higher than 1080p you should really look at getting 4gb of ram on the graphics card, so an r9 290/gtx 970 would be better.

That case isn't needed for anything, look at getting something that will offer more for less, phanteks enthoo pro/luxe for example.

I like the Phanteks Enthoo Pro, But i decided to get this case since its open, Like it isn't closed there are open spaces everywhere and it would allow more air to cool the components, And how about the Thermaltake Level 10 GT? Its a great case!

As for the GPU's, 2 290x 8 GB from Sapphire would do an awesome job, As for the CPU, I never knew the 9590 gets really hot.. I included it in the build as it will do an amazing job if i play CPU based games. But i'll take your suggestion and go with the 4790k! :)

It does cost a little more but has a much better price/performance for 1440p or 4K and is also optimized for quiet performance.

Wow, I don't know how did i never thought of getting 980's in SLI, But people say that when you over clock 2 970's its speed is the same as 2 980's, Is that true?

The 970's are 90-95% of a 980 It has 400 odd cuda cores disabled & they are generally clocked a bit lower

Idk but the 980 is more beefy in terms of cuda cores and shading units which for gaming may or may not make a difference but certainly help if you ever want to do some content creation.

2 970s in SLI overclocked is comparable to a single 980.

In my future X99 build I'm going to start off with a single 980 but eventually have a tri sli set up (Content Creation bebe).

I would love to a quad sli set up in a Define R5 one day but it's short 1 slot.

I went from a similar rig (i5 4670k, 16gb, that msi board & drive).

Longevity I'd go x99 ddr4 & haswell e

Also the performance on the samsung Evo drives is better than the crucials

Also if your looking at those 295's your need 2 x 120mm fan mounts near them. I don't know that chasis.

I will say the last review I saw on 295 in crossfire had scaling, heat & a massive power draw so u may need to check the 12v rail & amps on that psu

That seems like a bit too much but hey it most certainly would handle fairly well. In terms of gaming I'm not sure I guess pretty well depending on how good 4 290Xs are in crossfire since that's basically what it is.

Yeah you're effectively doubling the cuda cores, shading units, vram, etc. even though a single 970 performs somewhat worse than a single 980.

Though since I have the intention of adding more 980s in the future I figure that get a 980 up front so that I don't have to play like catch up.

For gaming and keeping the system the same as or similar to day one sure go with two 970s.

I agree that its too much but i want a pc that would do good for the next 2 or 3 years.. And all i can think of is the 295x2 in 2-way crossfire.
