Hi

I have a few questions I'd like to iron out before committing to this build of mine.

Motherboard Gigabyte Z97X-UD3H Motherboard

CPU Intel Core i5 4690K

GPU Gigabyte GeForce GTX 970 G1 Gaming 4GB

RAM G.Skill Ares/Sniper DDR3-2133

CASE Fractal Design ARC XL or Define R5

PSU Seasonic G-650 80Plus Gold 650W (may change if I decide to go SLI)

COOLER Noctua NH-D15 CPU Cooler

HDD Samsung 840 EVO Series 250GB SSD and Seagate Barracuda 2TB ST2000DM001

With the parts the I've chosen, is it better to have a low profile ram with the NH-D15 or can I have G.Skill Snipers.

Along with that is the problem deciding the case, as I'm not too sure if there will be enough clearance inside the Define R5 with high profile ram and a massive air cooler like the NH-D15.

The s12g-650 is already plenty for sli.

Sniper ram isn't that tall. It fits just fine.

What's the system being used for?

It's purely for gaming, maybe with the thought of going 2 1440p monitors in the future.

I thought the G.Skill Sniper was slightly tall so that would mean I'd need to move the fan up on the NH-D15.

Well if that's the case then all should be fine then, and thanks for the replies.

It's not low profile being 42mm tall. Standard ram height is 30-35mm.
