Driver issues with Steelseries Sensei

I'm having issues with my sensei mouse. Earlier today the mouse was working fine, and then all of a sudden after a restart, im getting the error message saying "the last usb device you plugged in is malfunctioning... blah blah blah". I've tried uninstalling the drivers and re-installing after a restart, I've tried updating the firmware "it failed because the usb device was fully recognized or something", and i've also tried manually installing the drivers again. Anyone have a suggestion? could my mouse be dead?
