Go to solution Solved by LabRat,

I was just making commentary. didn't mean to throw you off track or sway your options in any way. Please, buy the card you think is best for you.

Hey guys, NCIX recently had these two cards on sale. Can anyone tell me the difference between them besides out of box clockspeed?

LE is lite edition. it CAN be harder to oc because, it COULD be worse chip, does not mean it will.

The LE stands for "Lite Edition" so it has a lower binned chip. This means that it comes with a lower factory OC and will probably not OC as well(with user OC). There is a huge price difference though, and even though its a not as good model, they will both perform similarly(being within 5 fps of each other in most games).

Unless they have chips on them like the 8800 series..............LOL

they wouldn't be the same chips but they could be just as bad. gotta do something with the "old" stuff you can't or shouldn't sell or have excess of. It's all about the $. AMD has their 285.

Think a 970 would be a better option then?
