So i'm new here, so if this is in the wrong section feel free to move it or tell me so that i know next time

 

Basically i brought windows 7 64-bit around 6-9 months back and managed to lose the disk in the move but still have the key code. If i was to borrow my mates disk of windows 7 and still use my code would that work or not?

Yes, alternatively you can download an iso from http://www.w7forums.com/threads/official-windows-7-sp1-iso-image-downloads.12325/ and burn it onto a disc or memory stick

Absolutely; dvds aren't locked to a code at all, and as someone posted above, Microsoft even 'gives out' copies of Windows online for those in your situation.
