Screen resolution changing after boot-up/waking up

Help!

I have just started to have this problem on my computer where whenever I turn on or wake my computer up it shows the blue box that says "Autoconfig Please Wait". After this pops up the screen goes to a very weird resolution that is not my set one. After I log in and go to my desktop I have to changed my resolution back to normal. The weird thing is that it still says "1600x900" in the selector and so I have to change it to another resolution, then change it back to the 1600x900 and it is fixed. Any help would be greatly appreciated and I would love to fix this!

Thanks
