I'd like to get some opinions on how YOU would build an AMD APU based system with a strict budget of 360$ USD(Rebates included).

Aim - Light Photoshop work, light 3ds max work, web browsing(streams/YT vids), light gaming(LoL, Dota, RS, etc.)

Monitors - 1x 1080p monitor(Owned)

Peripherals - (Already Owned, Includes windows.)

What components would you select for this type of build?

Any and all help is appreciated. Thanks.

i7 4790k | GTX 970 | 16GB

That's all you need to know. It's a beast.

I'm going to be the first to say it.

At $360, it's basically impossible, Try laptops?

+$360 Budget

- $90 Windows License

= $270 Revised budget.

I'd save up to atleast $500.

^^ What he said.

I have Windows, and it's quite possible.

Here's one I put together a while ago: http://pcpartpicker.com/user/Unsaving/saved/QkMmP6

SATA 3, USB3, 2133mhz RAM...all for under 360.

Not worth it. You'd want a GPU for the gaming/photoshop.

Why is that? They're both going to be light loads. No Crysis 3 or 5gig PS files with massive 3d objects. The a8-6600k has to be better than the old c2d Macs that my school uses. From what I've seen in benchmarks and real world testing, that APU doesn't do too poorly.

Could've gotten a 7850K but compromised for what I consider more important things below:

Decent motherboard with 4 dimm slots for additional ram.

8GB is a healthy amount of ram for an APU.

A good bit snappier than a traditional hdd with a sshd--not the biggest but should be enough to hold until future upgrades.

Case has a decent and very quiet fan.

Psu is big enough for potential future upgrades but is mostly chosen due to current pricing. There's also a $20 rebate on it but I don't like dealing with them.
