Problems with the ROG swift

I might not have turned on g-sync properly, didn't see an option for it in the OSD so i assumed it was on by default.  I've been playing far cry 4 for a while, and i'm noticing a LOT of stuttering, and some major ghosting as well. (idk if ghosting is the right word, im in a snowy part of the map and a faded frame is lingering on the screen as i'm playing, really annoying)  So is it the game or the monitor?  I'm guessing it's the game for the ghosting part, because when i tab out and back in it disappears.  But when i start walking around in-game it happens again.  Not sure about the stuttering though, did i configure it wrong, or should i just lower the graphics settings to try to get a steady 140+ FPS?

 

None of this was happening before i got this new monitor...

Does it only happen in Far Cry 4? Have you tried some other games?

Tried it on CS:GO and both problems are gone in that game, but with CS:GO my FPS is pinned at 144.  That might be it, i'll try arma 3 and see.

Yep, looks to be a far cry 4 problem...

 

Still weird though, never had any problems running FC4 before i got the swift.

Have to go into Nvidia Control Panel and turn it on. Mine didn't enable automatically so you may just be running at 144hz. Far Cry 4 does have a slight bit of stutter but not bad at all for me on the Swift.
