well my computer has so much random useless crap on it now i need to clean it out, i ran malware bytes and such but theres still random crap everywhere like chrome extensions i can not get rid of and crap like that. so what would be the easiest way of going about this? i would just say fuck it and re install windows and wipe everything but i got my copy of windows 8.1 from my school and i realized it only lets you access the product key or whatever for 60 days after you unlock it so yeah im not too sure what to do here to clean out my machine. also note to everyone, do not let others use your PC. i swear i do not know how people can get some of this crap off the internet without actually trying. also i have windows and other stuff on an SSD and everything else on an HDD

You could instead just keep all the important data and do a system factory restore. You still keep the same Windows Product key that way. You can also check in your 'PC Settings' for the Product key, it should be there (is for me at least).

A quick google search gave me this:

You could potentially either use the Application recommended, or you could contact Microsoft and throw random serials at them in a hope to get a replacement key (or your MS account).
