New threat in Chrome?

===PCtyc00n===

Dont know if this is particularly news but when I was at my friends house the other day I was helping him remove a tricky bit of malware that kept installing a search redirect

and take me to this stupid sh*t

Anyway just thought I'd post SS's of it here though I doubt anyone could be stupid enough to fall for this

PS top left is not shown as it gives lat/long as well as IP [forgot my vpn]

open task manager, force close chrome, re-open in incognito by right clicking the thingy, then go to settings and open extensions or whatever you need to access in there to try clearing it out.

(Might work, might not..)

Yea, its called Mozilla Firefox.

Which is even less secure than Chrome. Point blank, the reason this happened in the first place was the illiterate behind the keyboard. Surfing on bad sites and running malicious shit constantly. This more than likely came from something he installed.
