I just got some parts of my rig the case , power supply, ram and motherboard and i may have the processor my dad may have misplaced it when he carried it down but he is looking and will confirm for me tomorrow. SHould i start building? and is there any way for me to know if the parts are working

in my experience it is best to install the motherboard after you have installed the CPU and cooler. I would recommend beginning to install the power supply and run wires here and there, as that can be pretty time consuming

Anyway yes you could start building no problem.  Have fun!

In regards to a hard drive or video card there are always cheap options that will allow you to have a working rig sooner than later.  Also will the cpu your dad has for you have on chip graphics?

Too many ****ing games!  Back log 4 life! :S

should i wait on the cpu before testing it or should i wait for all the other parts this is my build http://pcpartpicker.com/p/8FrDf7 but i probably wont get the rest of the parts until summer or next christmas 

you technically run your computer without a gpu for now so why wait?

its a 4k build i can use any lower gpu

it sorta was i paid for most of it my mom added on the 100 i needed to get them all
