Hi guys I recently decided to build my own computer today, I installed the motherboard I know the power connectors are in all the way, But When I try to boot my computer it starts up for about two seconds (All fans, Led's and HDD turn on) and no post beep, Then It will turn itself off for about 2-3 seconds and will turn on again, Repeating untill I turn the PSU Switch off. I tried using one stick of ram, I have no Idea what to do, I'm pretty sure it's the mobo but I wanted to ask you guys before I bought a new one. Thanks for your time!

Specs:

Mobo- Gigabyte z87d3hp

CPU- i5 4690k

Ram- Gskill sniper series

UPDATE: Removed mobo checked standoff's, Tried to boot system on mobo box and the same thing is happening, CPU fan will turn on for a couple of seconds then turn off for the same amount of time, and will repeat.

Built my first computer thanks to linus! http://pcpartpicker.com/p/LNY2ZL

there seems to be a short when you install the mobo into the case

take the mobo out and test it on the mobo box and see if the PC will go into the boot loop

Budget? Uses? Currency? Location? Operating System? Peripherals? Monitor? Use PCPartPicker wherever possible.
