BF4 $650 build help

Go to solution Solved by Lays,

your current idea is great IMO

I am looking to build a gaming rig for Battlefield 4. I built PCs in the past and sold them off as I started focusing more on college and work. Now that I graduated and have a job, I have more free time to come back Battlefield.

$ Limit: $650

Location: Pacific NW

I have a 1080 IPS monitor, keyboard, mouse, OS, and a SSD.

Current build ideas:

$200 EVGA GTX 770 SC (craiglist)

$190 i5-4570

$65 MSI H81 Mini ITX

$73 Crucial (2x4GB) RAM

$60 Seasonic S12G 450W (I prefer Seasonic for reliability)

$50 Thermaltake V1 (good air flow)

Total: $638

Let me know if an AMD build would be better. I don't have experience with AMD products.

I want to know where I can improve or reduce my cost.

Thank you and Happy Holidays.

Looks good, Personally i would rather go for a R9 290 if you anyways are getting a GPU second hand Mainly becouse of the higher amount of Vram if you decide to go higher than 1080p in the future, And it is also more powerful.

AMD vs Intel comes down to preference in the end, BF4 make use of up to 8 cores if im ont mistaken so the performance should be pretty similar.

My Gaming PC

|| CPU: Intel i5 4690@4.3Ghz || GPU: Dual ASUS gtx 1080 Strix. || RAM: 16gb (4x4gb) Kingston HyperX Genesis 1600Mhz. || Motherboard: MSI Z97S Krait edition. || OS: Win10 Pro
