Any Mobo which support both?

Go to solution Solved by byubi,

Go watch the video Linus made about DDR3 vs DDR4 performance, and you will see how insignificant the improvement is. Power efficiency is cool, but RAM doesn't consume that much to begin with.

You talked about MOBO supporting DDR4, but you forgot about the CPU, which costs generally more.

Hi guys,

I planing to upgrade my PC. I go through all stuff and notice the DDR4 ram, which getting popular. But too expensive for me. So is there any MOBO which support both DDR3 and DDR4. If so, I can get upgrade to DDR4 later in future. Pls guide me here. Thanks in advance.

DRR4 just came out in like 2 months ago, same time as Haswell-E? DDR4 is by no means "getting popular."

What's your current system? What's your budget for your upgrade? What do you want to do on your PC?

CPU: 5820K GPU: Gigabyte G1 970 RAM: 16 GB Crucial Ballistix Mobo: EVGA m-ATX Cooler: Corsair H100i Case: Xigmatek Aquila PSU: NZXT 700W Monitors: 2 x Wasabi Mango (1440p)

Do you play Go/Baduk/Weiqi? I am AGA 4D.
