Hi,

Just built a new PC with an Asus Maximus VII Hero mobo and 4690K. I have a waterblock on it and have the onboard fan controllers disabled but keep getting an error  for the CPU fan on boot up and it makes me go into the bios everytime Windows starts. Is there a way around this issue?

Main PC CPU: 7700K, MOBO: Asus Strix, GPU: Aorus Extreme 3080, PSU: EVGA Supernova G2 750, RAM: Corsair Vengeance 16GB Storage: 970 Evo 1tb

All of my fans are plugged into the fan controller. Should I plug the pump into the fan header? My other MSI mobo doesn't show this message on startup and it's watercooled as well.

Have you plugged your fan into the CPU_Fan header? (The one on the top right.)

To add to the other post, you need to plug a fan into the CPU_FAN header, it won't boot without a fan in the header.
