HTML5 or Flash website?

if you still have to learn a new language, I recommend to php. Because this language and this html contains something professional. At my work we do nothing but php (and css to styles) to give an example.

If I'm correct Flash is really old and outdated and from what I herd HTML5 has much better GPU acceleration.

It doesnt matter, just stay as far away from java as possible ;)

HTML 5, unless you want to lock out a sizable portion of the user base, flash hasn't got good support on mobile devices such as phones and the ipad. html5 will give you the best bet at cross-platform compatibility.
