So I made a part list for a buddy of mine, and I just wanted to be sure that these parts would fit together and work fine. Is there anything that isn't included, like cables, or things like that?

Intel Core i5 4460

EVGA GeForce GTX 970 SC ACX 2.0

Gigabyte GA-H97M-D3H

Corsair Vengeance 8GB 1600 MHz

Corsair SSD Force Series LS 120GB

WD Desktop Green 2TB

Cooler Master B500 VER. 2 500W

Corsair Carbide Air 240

Thanks :)

I see you have a thing for Corsair. Don't know about the case but otherwise it looks fine. People will recommend you switch the 1x8GB RAM for 2x4GB though.

Also may be worth having a HDD for mass storage. 120GB isn't a whole lot depending on what you do and the thing about SSD's is you don't want them near full or otherwise their performance drops.

I just made a part list, and because in the shop that he wanted to buy the parts the Corsair memory was the cheapest 8GB dual channel memory. The option was marginally cheaper HyperX Fury single channel memory. Also the SSD it was the second cheapest SSD, and it has about 100 MB/s higher read speed. He chose the case, however

The Corsair thing was just a comment, not a criticism. My comment about the storage was misplaced as I didn't notice you had a HDD in there too already. And the memory sticks is just a personal preference. I prefer singles cause then adding more later doesn't take up as many slots but others recommend 2 instead of 1 for better performance.

Ok, but I don't think that he will use more than 8 GB memory. No worries, mate :)

I chose the 4460 because it scored higher in 3Dmark with the GTX 970.
