So right now I basically have a bunch of spare computers and parts lying around which I used to use but were replaced by my current i7 computer.

I am looking into building an m-ITX console-PC down the road for under $400 which can match or surpass the Playstation 4 for my living room gaming.

So here are my options:

Intel Core i5 4570 Haswell Processor LGA1150 ($220)

MSI m-ITX LGA1150 Motherboard ($70)

Cooler Master Elite 120 Chassis ($44)

Some 550W Watt Power supply (~$50 to $70).

4 GB RAM (I already have- may upgrade)

1 TB HDD 7200 RPM (I already have)

GTX 680 2 GB (I already have)

Either this, OR

AMD FX 8350 ($199)

Micro-Atx AM3+ ($70-80)

And a micro-Atx case ($50-$100).

Which option is better paired with the options I have?

Core i7 2700K Oc'ed 4.4 Ghz, EVGA GTX 970 ACX 2.0 SC'ed, 16 GB DDR3 RAM, 240 GB Intel 730 SSD and 2 TB 7200 RPM HDD, Zalman Z9 plus case with 7 blue LED fans, Windows 10 Preview

Why not the i5 4690?

Trying to keep cost under $400 but I looked it up and it seems to be worth the increased price.
