video card showdown

hi guys,

 

i'm planing to build a gaming rig, i'm incline to get GTX970 SLI (gigabyte) and i stumble to a heck of a deal. the R9 295x2 is basically at the same price as the two 970's. could be some discount, but i think not (there's no time scheduling).

 

so, what should i bet on? the dual 970's or the 295x2?

 

(i'll be runnning my system with a 4790k and a z97 board)

well music production is mainly CPU if im not wrong.. i would go with the SLI if i were you

If you plan to game in windowed mode of any kind, then Crossfire is worthless.  If you don't care and plan to go fullscreen, it'll be worth it. At stock, the 295x2 should beat 970 SLI; so if you're not going to OC then that's another thing. But it's really up to you and your preferences at this point.
