Hi.

I want to upgrade from 8350 to 4930k when it comes.

So i am editing about 90% of my time and rest 10% will be gaming and browsing.

Only problem is that i am using GTX 650.

So will i notice difference in rendering times?

I know that in games i will get 0% performance increase.

I have FX-8350 @5.1GHZ and i will overclock 4930k too.

Even a 3930K will be a drastic improvement if you're rendering, so expect even more from the 4930K.

So i am not insane?

Correct.

I guess you gonna be fine witha 5.1GHZ 8350. The 4930k might give you a slight increase since you get 12 threads. But AMD CPUs are known to be very nice at rendering and so on. Soo... perhaps wait for the benchmarks, and see if it's worth it, and if you actually need it.

Have you unlocked cuda rendering for After Effects/Premiere?

Also, how much ram do you have?

Thats alot of money for what i can i only speculate will be 10% better then a 3930k. heres some overclocked cinebench figures

http://www.bit-tech.net/hardware/2012/11/06/amd-fx-8350-review/3

so almost double. it entirely depends on what your rendering. if its video in premier, a new GTX 780 would be a better upgrade based on cuda acceleration

And i only have 4x4gb (not enough)

I will buy another 4x4 if i upgrade to LGA2011

You got 8 actual cores running at 5Ghz, i dont know why you want to move to haswell and spend way too much money on new mobo + cpu + psu.

The thing you have to upgrade is graphic card, i recommend you 770 / 780 / dual 770

I am not going to haswell.

I am going to ivybridge-E
