Help with 1st pc

So I spent 1,000 on a new pc lol, built it which took over 6 hours to get it working but now I have a new problem. I started it up and was greeted with the asrock bios and I put in widows rebooted to install it and it was on a blank black screen with a blinking underline then after about a minute it went to the Windows 8 logo, then sat there for about 3 minutes then went to a blank light blue screen. I haven't got any further than that it just sits on this screen after the logo, if tried restarting it same thing
