Hey,

So I kept my i7-4790k at 4.2Ghz (I  know I could pull more, but I liked it being under 40 degrees. Anyway after downloading FarCry4 on uplay I've noticed my H105 being louder than normal and noticed through both CPU-Z and HWMonitor that my i7-4790k is now running at 4.8Ghz at 60 degrees; but with an overvolt of 1.377V (which I did not set).

Could someone explain this?

Anyone care to shed some light on this? I'm under the impression that over 1.3V is bad, I'm approaching on 1.4V almost...

If you have adaptive voltage set in your BIOS then it may overvolt itself to accommodate for higher clock speeds.
