Motherboard clicking noise

iam at working on my friends pc and he just got a new mobo psu and another gtx 770, i put it together and when you turn it on the motherboard make a clicking noise and i dont know how to fix that and once in a while the pc just freezes

Main Rig: i7 4770k @ 4.2Ghz, sabertooth z87, Gtx 980, hx 750 ,16gb vengeance pro, 120gb kingston ssd, 3tb segate

it may be the psu, is it powerful enough?

that could cause the mobo to make that noise

the psu is 750 watt and has 3 vga power connectors and iam using one dual molex to six for the last six pin

where is the noise coming from on the board?

 

check all the fans to make sure they are not making contact with wires or anything. cpu fan...

hmm, so 750 combined for all devices (hdd, fans etc) or 750watt for the graphicscards and the cpu? 

750Watt with 2 770´s is a bit tight...

it is right above the first gpu by the mobos heatsink

does it happen right from when the system powers up?

 

did you try to remove the second gfx card?

 

unplug or stop any close by fans

I think it´s normal, it may be the active phase switch. 

It can be disabled in the bios

It may be a relay clicking try to find out for sure where its coming from if that means rebuilding it out side of a case so be it

id begin by unplugging everything . all fans except cpu. all disc drives. remove 2nd gfx card. triple check all connectors are secured proper.  if no resolve do as tictac suggested and test outside of the case
