As long as each screen is running indepentaly and not in surround windows should do it by default. What os are you on?

I'm running Windows 8 and currently it displays different backgrounds in the cycle per monitor

Sounds like setting/option.

I've never changed the default settings as far as I know. Do you happen to know which one?

So did this start out of the blue? I would assume it's just in the wallpaper options in personalize. I'm on 7 so I can't be sure.
