Alienware console:Pure crap or worth it

So I found out about the Alienware Alpha Console and I think this is quite a big embarrassment to PC.The i7 model is much more expensive than a full build with an i7 in it.What do you guys think? Is this the next step to gaming or just another overpriced item from Alienware? P.S. I'm not buying this.I'm just looking for some opinions on itpost-169365-0-29230600-1418935904_thumb.

" I think this is quite a big embarrassment to PC."

Pretty sure your only interest in posting this thread was to slather on your alienware hate and you don't actually give a shit as to what anyone thinks.

You know what's an embarassment to PCs? People blindly hating on products and not giving any interest as to seeing as to what they are for or why a product was created in the first place.

The lowest 2 are not worth it IMO. The i3s are dual core and many games like AC and FC4 no longer support dual-core.

Get the i5 one at $800 if you must. ReviewtechUsa is using it now on Youtube and it looks pretty good (40-50 FPS on Wolfenstein).

Core i7 2700K Oc'ed 4.4 Ghz, EVGA GTX 970 ACX 2.0 SC'ed, 16 GB DDR3 RAM, 240 GB Intel 730 SSD and 2 TB 7200 RPM HDD, Zalman Z9 plus case with 7 blue LED fans, Windows 10 Preview

A person can buy a new customised Alienware x51/ Aurora R3,R4 instead of going for this. Good console but many around the world are in dilenma to choose between Xbox One and PS4 and now Alienware??/   No chance. Many people have consoles such as these and hence only a pC can be a advantage. Though it can function and has ports like pc ,its always a CONSOLE not pc . I

I don't think there's any doubt that a self-built mini-ITX system is a much better way to go if you want to game on a PC in your living room.

But I think it's important to keep in mind that this is not a product aimed at any of us. It's a product that makes PC gaming more accessible and approachable for the masses. And I find it hard to hate (too much) any product that makes PC gaming bigger and more relevant to more people, because that's good for everyone. True, one could probably do better for the money, but someone buying one of these was probably going to buy an Xbone or PS4 otherwise.
