Need help, some of my programs aren't working

pierrelanson

Basically after a few months with my SSD i finally made it so to have enough space for the OS and games courtesy of Linuses new video so as i had the Samsung Evo 500gb SSD i used "Samsung data migration" which cloned everything over so i had a tonne of crap on my SSD so i deleted a huge bit of it now i get all theses weird errors.
These errors are from and look like;
1) PC Gamer website isn't working and instead is doing this http://gyazo.com/f27de2b3c86424646a3e04491aaa775f
2) Skype is saying to download stuff so i do and nothing changes http://gyazo.com/ef95e295ff95beef6533667a287e8cd8

3) Geforce Experiance is giving me lots of errors like http://gyazo.com/4394f41f347e3d81800094717c455760   The Gyazos are getting stuck together look at URL

Soo what do i do and by the way gyazo is a program to easily screenshot stuff.

Data migration often causes these errors. Reinstall is the way to go. Or full windows reinstall if you keep getting problems.

Uninstall/delete any programs that are causing problems and reinstall those. If that doesn't help, then format SSD and do fresh install with windows.

I have reinstalled it more than 10 times and it still doesn't work luckily they have this "Skype for web". To do a fresh install do i have to buy another copy and how would i wipe the drive? I did buy it so i can use the code i have but i have already used it :S And HAPPY NEW YEAR

Looks like you indeed need to reinstall windows. Don't worry over cdkey. You can use it again as its same system. You can do the format withing windows installer which is easiest solution.

I still don't understand how to wipe my drive and actually re-install it. As i don't have the CD or something on a USB, is there a official download link for windows that would only work if i have a key? Is it cool if you do a step by step how to thing for me?

I haven't done it from USB. Nor have I put windows installer on USB. All my windows installs (XP, Vista, 7) are done with CD/DVD but process is same. Only USB installer I've done was for Ubuntu but again, same process.

Here's the Linus how-to video:

Here are dl links for Win7 ISOs. If you have Win8 or 8.1, use Microsofts own service.

http://www.techverse.net/download-windows-7-iso-x86-x64-microsofts-official-servers/

Download the .iso, get windows USB installer tool, find 8gb (or any 4gb+) USB stick and format it. Use the tool's wizard. Go into BIOS and select USB to be 1st boot device. Boot into installer and follow this guide http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/1649-clean-install-windows-7-a.html

The guide there is really good so you should be fine. Oh, and here's the WIndows USB tool as bonus http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/windows-usb-dvd-download-tool
