Hey everyone!

I recently cleaned out my PC from a bunch of dust and clutter that was clogging up the fans and I reapplied my thermal paste on my CPU cooler.

I'm getting a little concerned because as of recently I'm idling at temperatures at 9°C and 45°C under load  for my cpu.

The same story with my graphics card, I get low idle temperatures, and under load I peak at around 50°C

I'm running an FX-8350 with a Noctua NH-D14, and an Asus GTX 770 DCUII

What's concerning me is that the readings might seem unnaturally low for an FX-8350 and for my 770 when under load.  I've checked the bios, and about 4 other software programs to make sure I wasn't getting any bad readings, but they've all given me roughly similar results.

I dropped the overclock of 4.4 ghz on my cpu back to stock, as well as my gtx 770 just in case.

Could I be missing anything?

Don't know why you would be freaking out over that.......seems like that cleaning your system out and applying some new thermal paste did really good.

NEVER GIVE UP. NEVER STOP LEARNING. DONT LET THE PAST HURT YOU. YOU CAN DOOOOO IT

wow thats seems nice i would be very VERY happy with that.

I sit at about 20c idle and anywhere from 35-50 under load

I think there is something wrong there, unless you are living in an igloo. What is the temp of your room, because if it's below 9c there is definitely something wrong.

CPU is mis-reported. It is taking the socket temperature i think. Common thing with the FX series.

Second this. And it could also be software reporting even more wrong since 9C is just impossible unless room temp is closer to 0C.

It's been a known issue with the FX series. I also doubt OP would have a phase change cooling unit or a weird closed loop LN2 system in order to get to 0C or lower.

U cant have temps so low under your room tempreture (9c ?! Cmooon).

Thats deffo wrong. Maxing at 45c could happen, why not. Nh-d14 is a beast :)

But according to responses the values are missread.

I would take what ever temps your getting and add 10C to it cus the FX chips don't use a real thermal sensor and instead use some funky algorithm to calculate temps, and it doesn't work very well.
