For that budget, I would say AMD. You get more performance for the price with a lower budget, than something like an Intel Core i3.

It depends what you're using the system for. What's your usage scenario?

I would go with an AMD CPU and GPU so you can get a great system for cheap. The FX 8350 + HD7770 are good choices for your cpu+gpu.

Intel will be better for gaming core for core: http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/17vi8

You won't be able to overclock with your budget I'd say mainly because of needing a oc centric board.

6300 would be fine as well(that's what I am using, can get 4ghz on stock cooler). You can put more money into your GPU and get a 7790 or a 7850 for 40 more bucks. Make sure to get the 2GB models!!!

*In pounds that would be about 25-26 pounds more for a better overall gpu

This is what I've got.http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/16EUL

Id swap out for 4GB of ram and not Coarsair Vengeance.

Get a non-modular 600w PSU giving you room for upgrade.

Drop the SSD and add a 500GB Hard drive.

Swapt the 7870 for maype a 7790 or 7850.

Good luck!
