Hi everyone! I'm from Brazil, and as you may know, building computers in developing countries is not easy. Every component is absurdly overpriced due to taxes. Luckily, I will travel to the U.S. in January, and I plan on building my computer there! However, I am not certain as to how I will do it. That's why I'm here. The problem isn't building the computer itself, but rather where I'll build it. I have two options: building the computer in the U.S., making sure everything is working and transporting it to Brazil by plane, or buying the components, transporting them and building the computer in Brazil. I know it may seem that the second option is much better, but I'm afraid of some component being DoA or having some other problem, which would make exchanging the component very difficult. What do you guys think? Thanks!

Build the pc outside of your case, check if everything works, then pack the stuff back in the box and take it with you back to brazil.

Ok, I'll probably do that. Do you think it's dangerous to bring it built if I tighten all the screws and wrap it with a lot of bubble wrap?

don't you have to pay taxes if you bring your pc into the country by plane?

Yes, I do, but it's still a lot cheaper then buying the components here. The taxation is not the same.

Well If you would like to do that I would only remove you GPU out of it and ship it separately.

I am not sure but I remember reading something about shipping a pc by plane was bad, not sure tho.
