I just want to know what are the most "sensible" speakers out there? no bells and whistles, just good old fashion quality sound.

I know most of you guys prefer to use headphones but if you were to pick speakers that had the best "bang for the buck", which will it be? of course options for $20, $50, $100, and $150+ are appreciated, especially if their prices are justifiable by their sound quality

Nice to hear that you're being honest with us ;p.

What about bass performance, loudness, features? Do you prefer 2.1 or 2.0 sets?

hey if I want answers that'll help me, of course I need to give the right information haha

I don't know about bass performance since I'm not really an audiophile as one might say. I think I'd prefer it to have "natural" sound, if that makes sense? like it just sounds like how it's suppose to (the speakers, or maybe I'm also talking about the games I play or the "movies" I watch)

for loudness I'd also prefer it to be loud enough that I never have to turn it up on full volume, if that makes sense again...

and features... I really just want them to be good ol' fashion speakers, I don't know much of what features that would really benefit me in any way (it would be nice if you could share what features would probably give an edge)

and I can go either 2.1 or 2.0 or whatever else is there as long as the price remains "sensible" as I said earlier. and of course sensible that it won't look like much clutter.

damn I feel like I'm in love at first sight, those looks awesome!

I have a question thought, since I'm not an audiophile... do these speakers work with a Realtel ALC 1150 audio card? because that's the card that comes with my motherboard...

I ask this because I remember in one of Linus' videos about headphones, he said that if you don't have the proper audio source then whatever headphone (and I'm guessing speaker as well) you have won't work 100%

and the only problem left for me is to know where to buy this, I saw you linked a lot of sites in your review on where to buy but sadly my country isn't in it, since I'm from the Philippines

They will work with any analog audio output. So anything that has a 3.5mm jack. (the ones that are on everything (phones, tablets, laptops, desktops))

The cable you need is included, too, so that shouldn't be a problem.

As I was looking for a webshop to buy them, I found you: http://www.head-fi.org/t/746838/help-where-to-buy-edifier-r1600t-plus-in-the-philippines

It's rather difficult to find a webshop that ships to the Philippines.. I don't have any time right now to continue my search, but I wish you luck!

haha at least you see I really am looking for them since you recommended them, the person who replied to me there seemed to have found some so I guess I'll check it out! he said though that they failed the "knock test" which I don't really understand...
