Change mouse sensitivity?

I check and check again and windows 8.1 has no sensitivity control that I can find. Would someone:

a) tell me where it is

or

b) recommend software that can change it in terms of dpi/cpi instead of "fast" and "slow"

I have a Logitech M510 and  want to adjust the sensitivity to about 400 DPI because its way to fast.

Download logitech setpoint and you can change the sensitivity

you CANNOT change the DPI of this mouse, only the acceleration amount

if you are using windows 8.1 just search "mouse" and you will find the setting in there

Not that one

there is one in the traditional windows control panel, not the modern UI one

Control Panel -> Hardware and Sound -> Mouse (under devices and printers)

Always have it at the center one, and always have "enhanced pointer precision" (under the third tab) set to off. The others will cause problems. If you want to change the DPI of your mouse, that's mouse specific and usually your manufacturer will provide a separate program or your mouse has built-in buttons to change it. If you want to change in-game sensitivity, that's game specific.

@Lotus I can't even use it without enhanced pointer precision really... thanks though

@ShadowCaptain I found it but it's not really working out for me

Would there be any third party software that could adjust according to dpi? I know my dpi number

You cannot adjust the DPI of that mouse, full stop, sorry the sensor only supports a fixed DPI

if you want adjustable DPI buy a new mouse
