Corsair m45 issues

Hey
Just picked up the m45, the mouse is working but I have some issues.
First off, when I move the mouse around it "stutters" stop for a short time
and then start moving. Like a small freez when playing a game. Im using it
on a hard mouse pad (thunder9 from x-ray). The mouse is moving on the pad, however when I try to use it on the on my desk it wont move at all. Then I try it on the pad again, and on the desk and then it moves (sometimes), how weird is that?! I've been using the logitech mx518 for 10 years now and never had a issue like that ever. Using the latest Firmware 1.05.
