i have a i7-3820, i run a very mild overclock to 4.3GHz with a 1.3 Vcore, (multiplier is 43) RAM is 2133MHz, 11,11,11,27. it has been running stable for about a year. passed ~18 hours of Prime95 small FFT.

recently it has been crashing, blue screening.

i ran Prime95 again and it crashed within 30 minutes.

so have i degraded my CPU? <- Intel says the VID voltage range is 0.600-1.350v so i doubt it.

http://ark.intel.com/products/63698/Intel-Core-i7-3820-Processor-10M-Cache-up-to-3_80-GHz

during the winter the CPU temps where 60-65 degreese

now approaching the summer, they have raised to 70-75 degrees

could that be the problem?

You may also have an aging motherboard, if you can test it in a friend's PC.

I mean the VRM/ PWM is degrading, not only the chip itself.

funny you mention UD5. the power phase on that is poop. so giggy went back to the board

and dev'd UP5 with digital. and...... swing and a miss...

whats the latest UEFI/BIOS you have now? should be F14.

have you tried to up the vCORE, yet? this maybe will verify stability..

or lower the multi and retest..
