Quick full backup question

Hey people,聽

Got a quick question for you. I have a home server that I use for personal use with Ubuntu 12.04 I want to toy around with it and try to mess around with 2008 R2. but of course I want to backup the full disk currently so I could ((after im finished with 2008) wipe it and do a full restore and boom im back to my linux server that boots etc... so perhaps need a program that can do a full bootsec/sector by sector backup?

It needs to be able to work from a USB caddy.
