No, 1150 only works with 1150.

So i have finally decided to buy a new processor, the processor i am planning to buy is an i7 4790k with LGA1150. But i'm not 100% sure if it would fit since my current CPU is LGA1155. My current motherboard is a Z77-DS3H and if you look here http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=4326#sp it says it has support for 1155 socket processors. And since the processor i am planning to buy uses LGA1150, would that fit on the motherboard? Thanks! :D

It will not fit. Even if it did your chipset does not support the CPU. You need to upgrade to a new motherboard, Z97 is recommended
